Il Teatro Apollo nasce nel XX secolo, edificato dal Maestro Vincenzo Cappello, consegnato alla città il 15 Maggio 1912 viene poi inaugurato il 4 dicembre 1926 con la proiezione del film “Gli ultimi giorni di Pompei”.
